Sasha & Egor — Chateau Mukhrani

Sasha & EgorApril 2026

Sasha and Egor live in Dubai, and they spent a year preparing their wedding in Georgia: Chateau Mukhrani, guests from the Emirates, restrained deep decor and a programme for the whole evening. Weeks before the date the situation in the Middle East changed, and it became clear not everyone would fly in. About a third of those invited arrived.

The bride was worried — anyone would be, after a year of preparation. Moving the date was never on the table: the question was not what to cancel but what the evening should be with a third of the guests.

The answer was in the guest list itself. Sasha is an opera singer, and many of the guests were musicians and performers. Instead of a classic running order the evening was handed to them: they prepared surprise numbers and took the stage with the couple.

The decor did not change — the same restrained aesthetic the venue had been chosen for. The dance floor did not empty once all evening.

The wedding did not become smaller, it became closer and warmer. Two thirds of the list never made it, and the day showed it in nothing except the number of place settings.

What this day made plain: a wedding rests not on the timeline but on the people who got to it.
